Masar Destination Releases Photography competition titled ‘For the Love of Makkah’
In the Occasion of World Photography Day
Um Al Qura for Development and Construction company, owner and developer of Masar Destination, along with the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts announced the launch of a photography competition targeting enthusiasts, beginner and professional photographers. The competition aims to support the creative community and utilize their visual arts and creative lens; it coincides with world photography day and is an opportunity for talented curators to express their love for the holy city and showcase their best talents through pictures and visual arts. Masar Destination photography competition is focused on three themes which are: Landmarks & historical places, focuses on highlighting the unique landmarks of Mecca; life in Makkah, focuses on documenting the nature of daily life in the holy city; and spirituality, expresses the aesthetic snapshots related to the holy sites. The competition jury consists of three photography experts from the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts who will nominate 6 photos in total to enter the final stage which is focused on audience voting. Final winners will be determined by the public based on the most likes and engagements they receive on Masar’s Twitter account. Competition prizes will be 30,000 Saudi Riyals for the first place, 20,000 for the second and 10,000 for the third-place. Finally, it is key to highlight that the competition comes as an extension to Masar’s continuous support to the creative and local community and is an extension of the destination’s successful poetry competition that was released in Ramadan in collaboration with Adab Platform targeting poets and connoisseurs of literature which resulted in marking the campaign hashtag #في_حب_مكة as the top tweet leading the way in Ramadan 2022 as announced by witter.
